Sid and Emma got to know each other at the time of the quarantine via Instagram. Sid lives in India and Emma lives in Moscow. She is Syrian, and her family moved to Russia only 3 years ago. The lovers were texting for about 9 months but never saw each other in person during this time. It first happened in the Maldives, where Sid invited Emma and her family. On the very first day of the vacation, he proposed to her and gave her an engagement ring. Without any hesitation Emma said «YES!» and immediately started looking for a wedding planner in Moscow.
The couple had the marriage ceremony in the Barvikha wedding palace with their closest ones, and invited many friends and relatives from all over the world (the USA, Lebanon, India, Syria) to the wedding reception at the 5 * Four Seasons Hotel. The wedding was kept secret up to the last moment even from their parents as the couple was exceedingly worried that legal difficulties due to different nationalities and languages would become an impediment to their marriage. But the wedding fairies from the BM Weddings & Events wedding planner solved all the problems within a couple of days.
The welcoming cocktail was held on the terrace overlooking the Kremlin. Foreign guests were entertained with Russian ballet and classical harp. After enjoying the champagne and the magnificent views, all the guests went to the afterparty in one of the best clubs in the capital.
