Helena Kolan Trunk Show - bridal couture from Israel
On June 27, our agency together with the «White Dress» wedding salon in Marriott Novy Arbat space, organized a trunk show Israeli designer Helena Kolan’s new collection.
The 2019 collection was interspersed with prototypes of models that can only be seen in the upcoming collection 2020. The private show was a prelude to the so-called Trunk show. Wedding media and dozens of wedding agencies were invited to the show.
On the day of the show we held a wedding photo shoot in the presidential suite of the hotel. A perfectly fitting suit for the groom was selected in the men’s atelier Costume Code, and the incredible dress of the bride was included in the new collection of the designer Helena Kolan. Perfect makeup for the bride Katia and other models of the show was made by a team led by the top international stylist Elena Yurina.
Flowing champagne, delicious snacks, the Bali Band cover band and their fiery songs… That was a welcome to the show. Well, then … It’s all a blur…. a couple of dozen models of incredible snow-white dresses of completely different designs and textures… and several models were presented exclusively. No one has seen them yet!
Who is Helena Kolan?
Helena Kolan is known all over the world as one of the designers working in the Trunk show format. So, what’s it exactly? This is an opportunity for brides not only to see the complete collection of a particular brand, but also to get an individual consultation from the designer and together to choose the dress of their dreams.
«White Dress» is the only salon in Russia where the collection of the Israeli designer is presented. This is why the format of presenting the new collection was so unique.
Trunk show – a few days when the designer brings the entire collection of dresses and helps the bride on an individual consultation to choose the perfect dress for the wedding. In this case, the consultation is much more flexible than usual with a stylist, because the designer can advise you to replace the top or bottom of a dress, remove or add something, take an order from the bride and create an absolutely unique dress for her.
The most important thing in the image of the bride is to be yourself. 15 years ago, when I got married, everyone was expecting for a lush skirt and an ornate dress. But I made a simple smooth bodice and a tulle skirt. It was a shock!
A wide range of models was presented to the guests. Helena combines different fabrics and techniques, decor and laconic models, at the same time creating a perfect mood – the image of a modern bride who is independent and knows how to present herself. Perhaps this is the result not only of the fashion designer’s freedom-loving nature, but also of her military service.
Helena almost always works in the trunk show format. But this is a completely new experience for the Russian brides.
This is an individual approach that any bride wants. Furthermore, Moscow girls are keen on fashion. I noticed when I was sitting in a cafe and watching: whatever the trends, all Moscow girls correspond to them – all of them are very fashionable!
After the show, the guests were surprised by the most tender wedding cake, the first piece of which was solemnly cut by Helena Kolan herself, and several other types of desserts, and the fiery tracks performed by the cover band Radio Rock was a perfect end to the entire evening.
Helena Kolan promised to return if everything goes well this time in Moscow. But we are sure that this is definitely not the last meeting of the Israeli designer and Moscow brides!
